Hamat INBOX: Universal Concealed Valve Box

To those who don’t know, a concealed valve is the mixing faucet that’s in the wall of most showers and baths – it’s also the weak link in maintenance if a leak develops.   The fact that the valve is embedded in the wall makes it very difficult to reach if there is a problem and might involve digging in the wall and searching for the leak.

On the surface all you see is the handle, but underneath the surface is a complicated valve with a plastic cartridge and if it cracks, could lead to water leaks in the wall or from the handspray.

The meaning of all of this is breaking the ceramic tiles and digging into the wall, to reach the broken part and repair it.  Afterwards, you need to re-plaster the wall, replace the ceramic tiles, clean the bathroom – a waste of time and money.  Often the tiles are not the same and it looks like an unaesthetic mish mash of wall.

The INBOX can solve this problem!!

Hamat.  a company known for its innovation and unique product development, came out with the INBOX to meet the needs of the consumer in Israel after conducting a great deal of research. The new universal concealed valve box is unique in its approach and allows for easy access to the concealed valves without having to break the walls or ceramic tiles.  The experience of repairing the concealed valves will turn from a nightmare into a pleasurable experience – with ease, the plumber can remove the handle and deck plate, and reach the concealed valve in order to check the connections, replace O-rings or even replace the complete valve.   After making the repair, the plumber can easily replace all the elements back the way they were – easy, clean, efficient and saving the consumer lots of money and headaches.

Easy and Fast to install – the Hamat INBOX.

Can install in walls of cinderblock, plaster or concrete.  Both 3-way and 4-way valve bodies can be used and like all Hamat products it is durable, of excellent quality, and promises peace and quiet for many years of use.  It fits most of the Hamat faucet series.

Another big advantage in using the INBOX – a consumer can decide at any stage of the remodeling process what faucets to use.  In the past, a consumer needed to decide in the earliest phases which valves to use, which would dictate which faucets – today, that decision can be moved to a later date.
